Rooted in Family, Soil, and Story

Gonzales Siemens Family Farm is a Regenerative Organic Certified™ farmstead nestled in California’s San Joaquin Valley. Our story begins in 1890, when Peter Farntz and Gerhardt Siemens journeyed from Ukraine during the Mennonite diaspora, carrying with them a reverence for the land and a belief that good food begins with good soil.

Generations later, in the early 1970s, Christine Gonzales and Dale Siemens fell in love in Los Angeles and soon returned home to revive the family farm. What began as a homecoming has blossomed into a living legacy, a place where family, food, and community intertwine.

Tour the Farm

We Grow & Share

Across our fields and orchards, we tend heritage grains, vibrant fruits, and pasture-raised meat. We invite our neighbors to share in the bounty through u-pick seasons, farm education days, and lively community events that celebrate the rhythm of the seasons.

Contact us if you would like to set up a tour.

If you visit, don’t be surprised if you’re greeted by one of our farm cats, who take their hospitality duties quite seriously!

We believe regeneration extends beyond the soil. That’s why we collaborate with inspiring partners like the Allensworth Progressive Association, Kern County Black Farmers Association, Plowshare Alliance, and the Rodale Institute to advance education, equity, and sustainable food systems. Together, we work toward a vision of local food sovereignty rooted in justice, cooperation, and care.

The People Behind the Farm

Our farm is a living family story carried forward by many hands:

  • Rebekka Siemens – Farm Manager

  • Nathanael Gonzales Siemens – Artist in Residence

  • Christabel Siemens – CTO

  • Elias Siemens – Heirloom Seed Specialist

Each brings their own creativity and dedication to the fields, workshops, and community tables that define who we are.
